  My Mum is 71 years old and in good health however I don't think it is acceptable for a private paying patient to sit in a waiting room for 6-7 hours before receiving a bed and surgery. My Mum arrived at 7:30am to ensure she would be not delayed by traffic and was eventually operated on and returned to an actual bed in a room at 10:30pm. The doctor and staff were all fine but my Mum was dehydrated and ended up with a severe migraine before the surgery which was then made much worse by a reaction to the anaesthesia. My Mum's operation was OK but I really feel it is completely unacceptable to have someone waiting for so long when the surgery had been booked months in advance. It seems that the hospital is overbooking at the expense of the health and comfort of the patient. I am very disappointed that my Mum had this experience in a private hospital and would like to better understand why this was the case?

  I just spent 6 days here post c section recovery for our first baby. I can’t fault the hospital for its service, round the clock care, expertise, and support. From the access to amaxing midwives 24/7 a lactation consultant, postnatal physiotherapist, feeding and settling classes and the high tea - which my husband and I devoured ourselves

  Exceptional and professional. That is how I would describe all the staff at St George Private. My wife and I were there for the birth of our first child and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, compassionate, and professional. The facilities are excellent and we never wanted for anything. The food is also really good. Which was a very nice surprise.
